Memminger Gets Federal Trademark for "Get Life On TM"

HONOLULU, Hawaii -- The United States Patent and Trademark Office has awarded Hawaii humor columnist Charles Memminger a federal trademark on the phrase "Get Life On TM."

Memminger has been using "Get Life On TM" to promote his popular humor column, Honolulu Lite," in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin and his screenwriting and freelance writing business as well as offering various advertising, promotion and website-related services on several websites, including Getlifeon.com. Memminger hopes to license the phrase "Get Life On TM" to a major national company. He is represented by attorney Thomas Fagan, of Reinwald, O'Connor & Playdon in Honolulu.

Memminger is a national award-winning newspaper humor columnist and screenwriter whose essays and columns have been distributed by the New York Times News Service and published in Newsweek, Better Homes & Gardens, OMNI and other national publications. His new book, "Hey, Waiter, There's An Umbrella In My Drink!
